---- PR Calculation

I'm sorry to contradict you, but I do not believe you used the actual PR formula - either the original or some version since then. The math is complex - it's an iterative calculation involving all the pages on the web (not just your site) plus a damping factor of an unknown size.

I believe you used someone's approximation calculator based on a general idea of the old PR formula... something that has not actually been in use for about 10 years.

Is there s way to boast the sub pages and the homepage at the same time or is one naturally always going to go down as the other one goes up ?

Let this go... it will make you crazy. You are trying to find a way to sculpt PR and that's a bad idea. Here's my take on it:

1. Link within your site to help your visitors, not to boost PR.
2. Market your content to attract strong backlinks (that's the best thing for improving PR)
3. Forget ten year old SEO advice.
