Some terms have really shaken up since yesterday with big brands getting a major boost for products they don't even seem to sell!

This reached a ridiculous level ages ago and is still getting worse. Is it a bug in the algo, I wonder? Or is it a deliberate policy that they are bringing in gradually, wiping out thousands of small businesses to the benefit of the big ones over a period of time instead of all at once? And if so, why are they doing it, I wonder? It's certainly not to improve the SERPs, that's for sure. I'm usually too old to fall for conspiracy theories but this smells bad.
