What if you open a batch of search results in different tabs and then read them all without ever closing or re-opening the original search page? What information does g### collect? How do they know how long you spent on each page?

I would hate to think that any significant part of anyone's algorithm is based on 1998-vintage browsers that only let you have one window open at a time. You're reading either this page or that page; no other options.
