It sounds like Google is indexing some kind of a sort order - like maybe asc = ascending.

I don't think it's going to hurt you much if the rest of your site is in good shape, but personally I usually disallow URLs with question marks in them in my robots.txt file; on my sites rarely is there any reason for them to go into the index.
