There's been a lot of waffle in the media about Google's AI and its effect on Search. A recent twitter showed a link for some of the papers on AI emerging from Google:
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Much of our work on language, speech, translation, and visual processing relies on Machine Learning and AI. In all of those tasks and many others, we gather large volumes of direct or indirect evidence of relationships of interest, and we apply learning algorithms to generalize from that evidence to new cases of interest....
Guess this might provide some better insights into Google than sieving through patents from nuggets of useful information.
