In the near future Google will just use excerpts from web sites and you might get a link that almost home will click on so you won't get any traffic at all.

Very near future - I already add Google "noindex meta tags to any page Google doesn't send traffic to in any 14 day period. Since I cant be sure WHY Google stopped sending traffic to these pages, and they won't tell me if I ask, they don't need to be working against me either.
