I read somewhere in a SEO blog that Google penalties can go away if get a new domain since they stay with you forever. However they weren't sure that chaging to a new domain would stick since it was the domain + content that gave you a penalty in the first place :(
If it sticks, then more power to him!
I am pretty sure there has been some kind of animalistic update or we are just screwed without any apparent reason. It looks to me that it has to do with long tail searches because for the moment that is all I get, not the 3-4 keyword phrase I usually get hits from. It they could at least mix it a little bit, then it wouldn't be too bad (well... everything is relative!) but for the moment it is either or. They still haven't figured out the localization. It seems that with these long tail searches Google either did show the right page or the user didn't like the page since my impressions is low.
When will we hear from Google?
