Did we ever figure out what happened on the 27th July. I saw some significant changes in the SERPs with new big brand sites jumping in on Page 1 when they have never ranked there before (Google UK)

I'm certain something happened on 27th July.

Just wondering if this change / update has taken some time to roll out across the different Google engines or taken time to show in the SERPs.

Anyone seen anything about the 27th Update?
