1script, I think they were talking about links within the text body of the page, not links set off the way CMSes typically do ("related posts" in the sidebar, for example). I agree that what CMSes do automatically is not something Google's likely to blame webmasters for. The problem is when you're writing a paragraph that says "You may also want to check out Widgets: the feeding, care and ultimate disposal thereof" (wherein that's the exact title of the linked page) instead of something like "You may also want to learn more about feeding your widget."

At least, that was my understanding.
