Sure. But Google isn't in the hipster business, where they want to introduce you to great things you've never heard of.

Google wants to do their best to give you results that they think you will like. Most consumers seem to like Amazon, so showing those results is a pretty safe bet for Google.

I'm as frustrated as everyone else with what feels like brand domination in the search results, but I understand why Google feels differently. In all honesty, it's probably what most consumers want to see.
