Post on SERoundtable reports [seroundtable.com] an astounding 65% of poll takers say they were hurt by Update Penguin. Barry says this of the thousand respondents:
...those who were negatively impacted are probably more likely to take the poll. That being said, 65% said they were negatively impacted by Penguin...
Barry notes that Panda was a larger update and theoretically should have hit more publishers but the SERoundtable Panda Poll reflected only 40% reporting a negative impact versus 65% for Penguin.
Some see it as an attack on SEOs. But Google characterizes it as spotting attempts to manipulate it's algo.
