That's really disheartening to hear that long forgotten directory listing from 2006 (which you have no control over and told Google you have no control over) will still prevent you from being reincluded. What else are you supposed to do?

Has anyone been able to successfully have a site reincluded in the SERPs after receiving an unnatural link penalty?
