For those who often repeat "Google is broken" I can finally report - it's true, even if only for a few minutes. I tried a search query on google.com just now which would normally produce "millions" of results - and it returned 5 - yes 5 - results. I then managed to find a common query which failed to rerun any results! (No documents matched your query.)
Amusing enough, but no doubt significant as an indicator of massive behind the scenes changes.
