I'm betting 19th Jan approx. 2nd week. A week to recover from NY hols , a week to talk about it and a week to pull the lever.
Feb will have a surprise update and everyone will stop talking of Panda with something far greater. [webmasterworld.com...]
The first bit came true, in the form of a data refresh, and a congested schedule of algorithmic alterations, now i wonder if the crystal ball is about to explode with a major Feb update. No idea really.
Tomorrow, US time will be 4 weeks since the start of the last data refresh of 19 to 26 Jan. Expect the switch to be flicked sometime in the next 1 to 14 days. With the exception of March 11 and December 11 something has happened each month and probably forms a calendar of events for each month for Google analysts. Who knows...
My guess is Google will want 2 switch movements and monitoring periods between now and Easter which falls on April 8, so sometime in the next 7 days looks more likely.
One year of Panda and i would have hoped for more success stories. It seems that less than half of those effected have seen improvements, and for some of those it may not have been entirely Panda. My guess is less than a third got out at best. A lot would have given up - so the failure rate may be higher.
Best of luck to all those who have persisted and let's see what the coming days bring. Onwards and upwards - keep the dream.
