After being decimated by Panda again and again, I'm moving on to other things and making my site my hobby instead of my full-time job. It's time to get off the Google merry-go-round so my family is no longer dependent on the whims of our unreliable 'partner'.
My site still has many active users, and I want to do what's best for them. One thing I've always wanted to do is change the domain name to something that relates more to the purpose of the website (it's a writers' community.)
I'm not expecting the domain name change to help as far as Panda goes. The only way I can see it helping is that if Google's human evaluators review the site, it might appear more legit with a more legit domain name. (Am I grasping at straws?) But as I said, I'm not expecting this to change anything as far as Panda goes. I'm certainly not banking on it.
I am curious if anyone else has tried changing domains to combat Panda, though. I haven't been able to find any reports of this. Has anyone seen any examples of a Pandalized site changing domain names altogether?
