Panda should have really been named AmaBay to better reflect the preference given to Amazon and eBay organic listings. These two companies alone spend many millions with Google, and it is no shock that towards the major holiday shopping season Google gives them preference. Call it Panda, domain authority or anything you like. The bottom line is that Google will not bite the hand that feeds them.
