I've got a 4 year old site which has steadily been climbing in rankings and traffic due to addition of new content, links from trusted sources etc.

Today, traffic has dropped by 50%. I checked ranking for a wide range of keywords which all used to be on the first page and they've all dropped to at least page 3.

Right before Christmas - I could weep.
