- you missed my point, which was how can I rank for "wine glass" but not "[Brand] wine glass" when the brand in question is very niche?
I have been pushed way down for the most popular keywords too
I have pages that are creeping back into top 3 results for some decent keywords. I also have pages I changed and made worse! But, I think I understand why now. Philosophically, since Panda google seems to be more about SEO than ever before - especially what's going on on your own site. But, the old lazy SEO of write 'some content' optimised for a keyword researched in Adwords and throwing some internals at it seems to be dead. Google seems to really dislike overlapping/ written for specific searches content now. Precision is everything in your content.
