---- Optimal reading level in Google search results?

Sgt_Kickaxe - 8:50 pm on Sep 21, 2011 (gmt 0)

While performing a search in Google I noticed a new tool under the 'more search tools' link in the left sidebar, it's called 'reading level'.

Performing a site command search of your website will result in traditional listings with a new sorting feature up top, you can sort by basic/intermediate/advanced. The feature also tells you which percentage of your pages fall into each category which prompts the question...

What is the optimal reading level for Google?

I'd also like to know if the results are: keyword dependent? Mixed? The higher the better? as well as which metrics or tool are being used to determine that reading level. If my site is getting graded I at least want to know good from bad.
