What you have to say about it?
That nothing is ever black and white with Google. What applies to one webmaster, may never apply to another, and that sooner or later, google will trash your site, and when you have given up on it, it will probably come back...for awhile, only to be trashed again in a year or two. Google has a bipolar, love-hate view towards websites & webmasters.
That's what 10+ years of doing this has taught me.
If you want to be safe from Google's bipolar algo changes, you should probably have about 20 well-written, original, high quality websites that are +5 years old in order to be diversified. It will probably take as much work and time as 10 years of medical school and pay a lot less in the end.
If you are doing it for the money, you will go crazy and bitter in the end, but if you are in a niche you love, it might, eventually, be kind of personally rewarding and you might make a little bit of money.
If you are young, you should probably find another career path that is more stable.
That's my honest viewpoint.
