One thing I don't get is... why is there always a massive, massive traffic spike for a couple of days before Google does one of these Pandalizations where they rip all your traffic away?

There has to be some sort of clue to what's going on in that.

The day before I was re-pandalized I had my biggest google day ever. Most traffic I have ever gotten from Google in a single day.

Then next day... bam.
