When our site got hit by Panda, we rolled out a new site design that we'd been planning for a while, and also really scaled back advertising. As so many changes were rolled into one, it was hard to know what change had impacted which user metrics, but to be honest, nothing really changed.
We ran with reduced advertising for 2 months, but in the end, with no change to the traffic to our Pandalized site, we've decided to roll back our Adsense.
What happened next is just weird! Our Bounce Rate has decreased / improved. So by increasing the number of adverts on our pages significantly, our bounce rate has got better!
Has anyone seen this before? To me, it would suggest we may have an Analytics bug, as the results are so contradictory to anything we'd expect.
