Google loved the project enough to copy it but it didn't pan out as a viable search alternative so I'm not surprised. That and Google has lots of other sites/ideas to pillage where their efforts will yield 'better' results. I think we're overdue for an ORIGINAL idea from Google but this is a step in the right direction anyway.
Why? Because DMOZ has no chance to re-gain traction with a complete copy under the Google brand.
