We have been trying to determine good content vs. bad by using referral stats and crawl frequencies. Our good content is crawled as much as 30 times per day, despite the fact that it hasn't changed in years.
Is that accurate as far as you're concerned or see? I ask becuase If I have, say, 1000 pages I get 700-800 googlebot visits each day, almost each asking for a page. Can't figure this thing out, even Matt Cutts said that 'low quality' pages will be less visited but...
