We do appreciate that some fixes simply cannot be completed 100% (e.g. cleaning up spammy back links)

Mumble, grumble....it shouldn't be a responsibility of the webmaster to clean up spammy backlinks. Unless the webmaster has control over something, he shouldn't have to "fix" it. Just discount them, already! Mumble, grumble...
