Ok, hopefully the following chart is ok as I am not revealing any keywords or SERPs, but take a look at this:

This chart shows a number of domains entering the top 100 in Google over the weekend - with high activity since the change on the first Tuesday of June. The thing is......the chart is against 'Pages from the UK' - with all the new entrants hosted outside the UK, not having a .co.uk ccTLD and not being set to UK in GWT.

Is Google trying to eliminate the local element of search? Or is the filter simply 'broken'?

I do think this is an extremely important issue but I doubt we'll get any feedback from Google.
