I also noticed that fuzzy area in the video. As many people have observed, Twitter's web pages use nofollow, and that means no PR flows whether the URL is shortened or not. But Google also has the full Twitter Firehose - and I can confirm that the Firehose data feed does NOT include nofollow information.

So now the question becomes how Google treats links in feeds, compared to links in the content area of a web page.
