If they are having trouble with the WMTools and the Analytics, what makes us think everything else is working good?
These are not just tools for us. I am sure they also use them or at least a subset of them. What I mean is, I doubt they developed tools just for us. I suspect WMT is just extracted from their tools. They already have a large database on the website, why not share some of the information with the webmaster.

Based on the comments that the CEO has made, the information that has become public in the "Street view" program, Buzz and others, its very difficult for me to believe they do not monitor the analytics.
