Coachm we see this indirectly through cpm. The fluctuations we see directly in the SERPS appeared immediately in that wide data set. Impressions were altered and so was the click rate on sites we have advertised on for years. That was the first hint of this update and retrospectively indicates to us those sites saw shifts in their "quality" of results. Just like you may end up on a Chinese site from NYC, clickers looking for widgets get misdirected to articles on widgets, bounce without reading and hitting am ad. The overall impressions number is nearly the same, but particular sites changed.
Does google use true conversions as a metric? Particulalry what goes on behind the https?
