Those sites don't even have backlinks and domains only a few days old, how can they rank that high?

The site I checked at number 2 position was hosted on a server with a site with a similar name. This similar site was registered July 3rd 2010, and redirected to the site I checked for, which was registered on Aug 31. so there is a redirect game going on. Maybe this has something to do with it. I don't know for sure, about this kind of page ranking though, just an idea.
