Last year at PubCon I heard about some kind of coalition between search engines and the authentic manufacturers (and their distributors). This problem is immense and that much has been acknowledged. Clearly, a practical solution has not yet been found.

This goes beyond some ranking trick - it violates the law, not just Google's guidelines.
