bwnbwn, your logic could work both ways: those that have gained organic may reduce any Adwords spend as a result of sudden organic increases. Plenty of PPC powered websites that are working on razor thin margins.
Not everyone has seen organic traffic drop. There are those that are seeing steady traffic as well as others that are experiencing increases--I think graeme_p was one.
