Hi All

Has anyone experience canonicalizing pages that don’t have similar content.

My client’s website is an event driven and it’s got 10,000’s of expired pages. These pages return a 200 response. He wants to place the parent page in the canonical tag.

I’m not sure of the likely result or the risks involved.

Any thoughts?
