The itproportal info, if true, is interesting in saying G may reduce the effectiveness of price comparison sites. Add to this the fact that Google is trialling their credit card comparison ads tool in the UK and I wonder (conspiracy hat firmly on) are these related?
I don't think it means the actual big brand comparison services. It more likely pertains to the white label sites which is getting out of control in my opinion.
