Off topic, but may be related, i have started noticing all our websites in SERP have a label beside it - Country name. I apologies if this may have been discussed before but I do not understood it correctly hence posting here to see other’s view and knowledge on this to help me understand this better.
i.e. all our website have beside its url written as - United States. I am not sure how Google did this whether to mark our site for regional weighing on US or does it recognizing it as hosted in US? Primarily we are an India based company with subsidiary in the US and UK. I do not see the real reason yet except above two noting of why it could be marked for US (the sites are hosted on servers in US and indeed a c corp in existence in US) but all site offers is global services and focus on Western Countries and India.
