When will Google remove the option to look at 100 pages of SERPs per query (10 results per page)
Surely it is only SEOs and spammers who go looking beyond page 4?
I'd say the "average" user (if there is such a thing) probably doesn't go past page 3.
I had the pleasure of spending some time on the Google SERPs with an intelligent fellow who hasn't done much interneting recently. He repeated a popular conception that Google's first page of results were the best (most relevant) to his query. He reformulates his query if page one does not contain what he wants.
I suspect Google doesn't actually calculate page N + 1 until you request it. Still it seems a bit odd to me. Maybe just a historical oddity?
