With my sites I'm seeing the pages indexed after 3 or 4 weeks. But they don't rank anything until between 3 to 6 MONTHS. I've just had a doubling in visitors for a section of one of my sites which was constructed over June to August earlier this year.

I thought they would eventually rank high, but for my sites it seems the lag is getting longer and longer. I now plan on a 6 month time lag for the rankings to reflect the true value of the pages.
