We've done a bit of content outsourcing in the past and the quality has been patchy at best (you get what you pay for I know). Quite a few of these older and very average articles are now buried deep in the various sections of our site, I wonder if Google 2009 is good enough to detect and possibly apply a lower ranking or filter if the standard of the writing is consistently poor. If you've ever gone shopping for content you will find massive amounts of written garbage with compromised English being pumped out on just about every subject you can imagine.
