How about an Images link that only requires you to mouse over it to see a dynamic 5x5 list of image results that "hover" in a chromeless window over the SERPS? How about a Videos link that does the same? News results? Blog results? Maps? And that's just some of the basic stuff.
They could dramatically improve the user experience with some JQuery or AJAX.
