All sites ranking top 10 do have the keyword at least 2 times in title/url/descript. but there are those pesky info/news sites like wikipedia or any XYZ.techcrunch.com or whatever subdomains supported by a decent 6-8 PR so it's pretty hard to steal the pos.
I know you can beat the competition if you do you're job right but when it comes to old/authority 1-5k alexa sites you're in for a lot of trouble. I'm thinking more and more about going for longer phrases or diversif. my descriptors... seems i have to leave the 2 keyword phrases for another time...
