Just seen a weird thing happen... I discovered this happening to a friends blog.

You google his name or any item on his blog, and results are found in the serps.

You then click any result , and it redirects to a "mega search" site after showing his URL.

For starters I thought it was spyware on my pc. But it did the same thing from multiple pcs and the redirection continued.

Now for the interesting part. If you type his URL directly, no redirection. Therefore the redirection only takes place when traffic enters through Google.

The logic with this is that the owner would always use the direct URL to access the site, so would never pick this up.

Anyone heard of this? I think his version of WP is not the latest, which could of opened the exploit. But , very clever !
