We have only really been badly affected for our most important, highest volume and most valuable term. I'm now convinced that this is caused by the devaluation of internal linking and the up-weighting of any old c**p back links in a competitive area. The site at #1 has gone back to having site links which is living proof that the current algorithm is as weak as gnats p*$$. I can't understand why senior people at Google, on their personal blogs and in their public utterances are so smug. They are harming real businesses while helping people who are doing exactly what they say they want to stop. It just beggars belief. I'm also now wondering if there is any point in reporting spam sites in the UK because unless they are doing unspeakable things on a global scale they slip under the radar of any new algo that Matt Cutts team can come up with. The UK, in fact any market outside the US just doesn't matter to Google. They can make more money in an afternoon in the US than they make in a whole year in the UK. Cheers Sid
At this moment, for our top target 2 word term and for the other terms that I've checked all of the DCs top 10 look exactly the same.
