Google periodically rotates books in and out of the top results in my areas. When they’re not present they seem to sit in clumps at the rear of results as if some are 950’d. Their appearance seems more timed to particular dates or time of month more than anything else. Shoving You Tube into the top results seems to be the “biggie” for the month in my areas.

Actually all the results seem more time sensitive, especially with commerce sites, based upon the swings people are observing.

Clickfires comments were exactly what I expected to see mentioned for this time period.
