---- Does blog Syndication leak PageRank?

dchase - 8:39 pm on Oct 24, 2007 (gmt 0)

I recently ran a bot on my site to se the Pagerank of each page.

This particular bot shows the number of outbound links, or basically PR bleed.

In looking over the report, a full 90-95% of my outbound links are from my onsite blog. Of those, 90% are to technorati.

I have 2 questions

1) Is this draining major PR from my site and also dissipating the value of the relevant links in my content? Not that technorati is not relevant but...

2) My blog gets little to no comments. Very few sites are listed on the blogroll. It tends to be an informational resource only. Therefore, should I possibly add the "nofollow" tag from my site to my blog altogether? That way it gains links and PR from the outside sources that link to it (and passes it along to my site) but does not drain PR through these links?

I do not mind passing PR to relevant sites, but I do not want to randomly drain PR through syndication links.

I don't want the blog dissallowed by the robots.txt file, since I do want the info spidered.

Thanks for any info.
