---- Can run-of-site one-way links hurt keyword ranking?

underglass - 10:34 pm on Aug 22, 2007 (gmt 0)

I have a site owner linking to me from nearly all of their site pages. (We were supposed to exchange one for one links.) They are linking using the same keyword term, and it was duplicated across thier pages. I do not believe this was intentional - it is just the way their pages were set up. We are both about blue widgets. It is a quality site.

I cannot use previous performance of the keyword as a basis since I have had problems with it in the past....goes way up and down. Will this harm future ranking (all other things being equal, of course)? Should I ask the site owner to remove all of the links except for one? Is this a good thing?

Thank you!
