Very interesting. If Google offered search results in this format on a permanent basis then it would shake up the SERPs a huge amount. In Bewenched's example you would need to be in the top 3 stores to appear on the first page (barring Google base/checkout results). Of course if you offered news and reviews on your site then you may appear lower down the page as well as or instead of appearing as a store.
