"Describing Google's top frame as an "advertisement" is a stretch worthy of Spiderman." I so disagree with you and totally agree with BRETT! It is and advertisement. Even if the logo does not sell anything specific...it is an advertisement. A coke can displayed in a popular TV show is an advertisement. I could pay to have my logo across many websites. It may not sell anything but still it is an advertisement. I produce articles with by-lines that have my company name. Those are advertisements. People linking to my site are advertisements. I just saying my name is an advertisement. Anything you do to describe, praise, or give public notice to is in fact an advertisement. It does not have to sell anything. It does not have to be paid for.
