Lots of scrapers added it too

I do have a theory that if too high a percentage of your backlinks are from scrapers then your rankings will drop.
Not much you can do, but it should be self-correcting as once you no longer rank highly you will slowly drop off the scraper pages, as they refresh them.
Could take a few months, though :(
It might help to madly report all the scraper pages to the engines? Certainly can't hurt.
