Although I do not see reliable changes on all pages (the same ones since last night) I think I am going to make one conclusion: It appears that Google is increasing (in general) the pagerank sites are receiving, probably in an effort to make it a less reliable premise behind linking decisions. (the less important pagerank is, the more important topical content is)

They are probably making it easier to get a PR between 2-5, and leaving higher numbers the same.
