You could say the same thing about any business, publicly listed or otherwise. That doesn't keep drug companies from finding cures, THE NEW YORKER from publishing literature, or Google from "organizing the world's information and making it universally accessible." Indeed, such companies achieve their financial goals by fulfilling their missions--preferably with as little disruption as possible (hence the desirability of scheduling search-engine refreshes and updates during periods of relatively low usage).
Sorry but its a public listed company. Its primary objective has to be to return greater return on shareholder value with each set of financial results.
